Braes of Doune Windfarm Community Fund

Dunblane’s Wind Farm Committee receives around £20,000 annually from the Braes of Doune Windfarm to distribute amongst community groups in Dunblane, Kinbuck and Ashfield. Up to £4000 is available for individual projects. The fund is administered by Dunblane Development Trust [DDT] and applications are assessed and approved by the committee of 6 community people; 3 nominated by DDT and 3 nominated by the Community Council. Thanks are due to the efforts of Christine Campbell, the volunteer administrator, and to the members of the allocation committee.

In 2023, 17 local community groups received grants from the Fund:

Ashfield Village Association, Dunblane Cricket Club, DDT (Ecofest), DDT (Dunblane in Bloom), Dunblane Fling, Dunblane Free Church The Ark, Dunblane High School Parent Council, Dunblane High School Duke of Edinburgh, Dunblane.info, Dunblane Youth and Sports Centre, Forth Valley Orienteers, Kinbuck Community Group, Newton Families Together Fundraising Group, Rubber Chicken Theatre CIC, St Mary’s Hall Development Group, St Mary’s Primary School Parent Council, Stirling and District Schools Pipe Band.
