Dunblane Town Centre Development Group (DTCDG)
Purpose:
To improve the amenity of the Dunblane town centre by developing initiatives that:
benefit the community, tourism and businesses, and can be promoted to outside bodies as part of a plan for Dunblane.
Responsibilities:
To take responsibility for DDT’s Town Centre Development Initiative
To communicate with, consult and involve, as appropriate:

The wider Dunblane community
-
Businesses , historic and cultural organisations, hotels and restaurants
-
Dunblane Community Council and elected representatives
-
Officials of the Council and other bodies
To secure funding in order to implement plans and to ensure that no unfunded costs are incurred.
To plan the improvement of the Dunblane town centre in relation to:

Repairs, maintenance and improvement
-
Improving footfall
-
Promoting tourism
-
Maintaining financial records
-
To identify any training needs of Group members
Accountability:
To the DDT Board of Trustees through updates at formal Board meetings and an annual report for presentation to the DDT AGM
The DTCDG should seek the approval of the DDT Board before it enters into any arrangement that commits or binds the DDT in any agreement concerning the Dunblane town centre.
Committee Membership:
At least 5 individuals; including at least one DDT Trustee
Operation/Process:

The Chair will be elected by DTCDG Group members, subject to approval by the DDT Board

Other officers will be appointed as required by the Group

A Note will be taken of each meeting and circulated to Group members & DDT Chair

The Group will meet as and when required; but as least quarterly

The Group may invite to meetings other individuals with relevant skills & experience
Supporting Resources:

An agreed Board Strategy and associated policies and procedures

In house or external training as and when required

Work and meeting space as and when required
